Story
This year the Lorne 160 team will be donating to Geelong Food Relief Centre (GFRC), the GFRC provide food to disadvantaged families and induviduals in the Geelong community. The Lorne 160 team will be raising money through charity events, fundraising and by running 160km from our school campus to Lorne and back as a team.

Geelong Food Relief Centre
The Geelong Food Relief Centre (GFRC) was established in 1990 as a volunteer-run not for profit food bank operation. Today GFRC operates two mini-marts and a bulk distribution warehouse. GFRC aims to provide emergency food relief to socially and financially disadvantaged members of the community via a food voucher redemption system.
In 2015/16 the level of emergency food relief provided by the Geelong Food Relief Centre increased by 39% compared to 2014/15 which is the biggest increase in demand for emergency food relief in our history.
Geelong Food Relief Centre assisted in excess of 33,000 individuals / 14,200 families in 2015/16 in need of emergency food relief while distributing 300,000 kgs of nutritious food to our customers, other emergency relief organisations and school based breakfast programs.
