A message from Ollie, 

We all know growing up is tough, family, friendships, school and relationships are just some of the big things young adults are facing at any one point in time. Knowing that some are suffering in silence without having the support that is needed to keep them happy saddens me which is the main reason I would love to do my part in helping the Kids Helpline. Our biggest goal between us is to raise awareness and start the conversation in schools and to young adults that there are so many organisations like the Kids Helpline that are fully confidential, free and have qualified counsellors 24/7 ready to take your call. There is absolutely no shame in calling or reaching out for help in times of doubt or uncertainties. Our aim between us both is to run 60km, but for us it isn't about how far we can run its about how much awareness and positivity we can spread and create within our community.   

A message from Gus, 

I want to run this journey because I know mental health is so important and how hard it can be on some in our society at the moment. I know their are people running a harder race pushing to beat whatever issues that have come up in their own personal life. I want to help raise awareness for them and the many others so they know that they will never be alone and someone will always be there for them to help win their own personal race. Mental health is sadly currently a huge problem with far to many people struggling. As a bloke who has battled the black dog I can understand the fight and the everyday struggle that many people suffer from. But I can proudly say I never gave up and I was able to overcome my own personal challenges. I know I'm not the only one and I want to be able to help others win their race and find the beautiful life that surrounds them. Donations to the Kids Helpline will give an opportunity to provide support and a set of ears that will listen to you 24/7, which could result in changing someone's life. Life itself is truly a special gift that we are all given and I believe everyone deserves to love the life they have. I want to do whatever I can to assist the Kids Helpline to encourage others make a change in their life.
