Story
Hi there!
As most of you are aware, my Josh was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last year at age 20.
His life has now changed forever!
To see him embrace it and accept it has shown me how strong he is. To say I am proud of him is an understatement!
In honor of Josh, on the 6-7 July, I will be running the Gold Coast Marathon Double.
That is 63.3 kms 🏃🏻♀️
On Saturday I will run the Half Marathon, 21.1km with Greg, and then on Sunday I will run a full Marathon 42.2kms.
It is a crazy challenge but I am going to use Joshs Strength and courage to get it done!
When I start hurting, I’ll think of the numerous needles Josh has to inject himself throughout the day.
When I’m struggling and not sure I can continue, I’ll think of the multiple bruises that covers Josh’s belly, and think “he has to continue, so suck it up Merissa!!”
If my run can help find a cure for Josh and all Type 1 Diabetics, then I’ll be forever grateful 🙏
Every little bit helps, so if you would like to help and support, your donation would be eternally appreciated 💙
Thank you, Merissa xx
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
