Story
As an Anatomical Pathologist, I diagnose bowel cancer on a regular basis and see firsthand the devastating impact it has on patients and their families. I have also witnessed an alarming increase in younger patients being diagnosed with this disease.
My motivation is both professional and deeply personal. I lost my mother-in-law to bowel cancer and understand the heartbreak it can bring.
This year, I am taking on the challenge of the Sydney Marathon to raise funds for research, awareness, education, and early detection initiatives through Bowel Cancer Australia.
Every training run, every kilometer, and every donation brings us one step closer to a future where fewer patients hear the words, "You have bowel cancer."
Together, we can make a difference — one kilometer at a time.
