Story
With hundreds of thousands left homeless and a death toll of 30,000+ people, the devastating impact of the earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria will take years to recover from. Even closer to home, destructive flooding from Cyclone Gabrielle and a 6.1 magnitude earthquake has wreaked havoc across the North Island of New Zealand.
On Tuesday, 7 March from 4-5pm, the EY Melbourne People Advisory Services (PAS) team will raise money through a special fundraising competition, Race to Rebuild, taking place at the famous Melbourne track, The Tan. A 3.8km loop surrounding the Botanical Gardens, we are raising money through pledges for each km walked or ran over the course of an hour with our ultimate goal of raising $1,000 AUD.
All proceeds will be given to the Australian Red Cross who are working with local agencies across Turkiye/Syria and New Zealand to support relief efforts.
