Story
Hi there!
Join me in the race for healthier hearts! I’m running 200 kms in October to support the Heart Research Institute that saves lives every day. Let’s lace up our shoes and make a difference together. I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small.
Please feel free to join me on my runs if you wish to. Contact me personally and so that I can tell you when and where I do my runs. I’m not a professional so don’t be shy ❤️🤗.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Heart Research Institute
Did you know that Heart Disease affects 1 in 6 Australians, and 2 out of 3 families and that 1 Australian dies every 12 minutes from heart disease. Plus more alarmingly 40% of children under the age of 15 years now show early signs of heart disease.
The aim of The Heart Research Institute (HRI) is to provide medical professionals worldwide, with better resources and a better understanding of the Early Detection, Prevention and Treatment of Heart Disease.
With today¹s worldwide epidemic known as the Metabolic Syndrome, where the combined risk factors together increase your chances of developing heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
It¹s true we eat too much and exercise too little - add in a little stress and Boom! It's too late !
Risk Factors include: Overweight and Obesity Poor Diet Physical inactivity High Blood Pressure High Cholesterol Low Fruit and Veg intake and of course Alcohol and Smoking 9 in 10 adults have at least one risk factor, 1 in 4 adults have three or more !
Reduce you and your family's risk of a stroke or heart attack, and help us make
