Hi all,
I am committed to running in the hopes to make a difference for a cause that's close to my heart.
My running journey began in 2022 when I was determined to do something bigger than me to raise awareness for my Abeula who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Watching her lose her dignity, her memory and her beautiful bubbly character, I wanted to do whatever I could to help in the efforts of finding a cure.
After training for 6 months I completed the 2023 City2Surf in 1hr and 33minutes and raised over $800 with all proceeds going to Dementia Australia.
In 2024, I had to take a break after suffering with burnout. However with rest and healing I have finally been able to return to running. This time, with even more fire in my belly, as June 2024 my Nonna was also diagnosed with Dementia.
I completed Shellharbour Run 10km in 1:11hrs with the intention to raise awareness with many more running events on the Calendar, and a lot more training and kms. I know this is just the beginning.
My next event is November, at the Hussky Running Festival where I am training for a PB 10km.
So, I ask for any contribution, big or small to go towards Dementia Australia, to help raise funds for research and support for those affected (and their families), by this heartbreaking disease.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thank you so much for your support!
Dementia Australia

We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia. Please visit www.dementia.org.au to access a wide range of resources and how to contact our National Dementia Helpline.
Community support through donations and sponsorship, as well as bequests, is vital to the continuation and growth of our work.
