Raising Funds and Diminishing Stigma

Story

In Australia alone, there are 200 suicide attempts a day. That's more than one new attempt every 10 minutes. Suicide rates are increasing at an alarming rate.

Mental illness is an issue that most of us will face in our life time. It could be you yourself being diagnosed, a family member or a close friend. Whatever it will be, mental illness will touch your life at some point. Back in 2010, when I lost my grandpa, I lost myself. But with all the support of my family, friends and even strangers I managed to get through. I will never be able to pay those people back. I am forever indebted to them. I wish to pay it forward. And I'd like your support and donations.

Lifeline is an amazing foundation helping to reduce stigma, promote awareness and support those with mental illness. There is so much stigma surrounding self harm and suicide that we must tackle in order to prevent suicide.

If you choose not to donate, make an attempt to reach out to someone, someone you know well, or someone you barely know. Make sure they are okay. 1000 people think about suicide everyday, of those around 250 people make a suicide plan. Reach out to someone and you could just save a life.
