Team Layla 2015

Welcome to 'Team Layla 2015'. We are excited to have 167 people in the team this year!  It's our 8th consecutive year and we are so pleased so many people join the team year after year to help raise valuable money for such a great cause. 

 

'Team Layla' is inspired by Layla Hopkins who is one of the many fortunate recipients of the great work carried out by the Royal Children's Hospital.   

 

The Royal Children's Hospital saved Layla's life multiple times and administered regular treatment in response to complications resulting from premature birth at 24 weeks gestation weighing in at just 590 grams.  Layla is now 8 years old and in Grade 2 at school and doing really well. 

 

Layla's medical story is one that defies the odds. She's falls into a group of around 2% of children who survive a similar start to life without any physical or mental disabilities - a result that would not have been achieved without the expertise of the RCH team. It is our hope the results we've seen can be achieved with more children, but this can only be done by supporting the hospital and this is a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
